FRP Bridge Deck New Construction Cycle Bridge and Pedestrian Bridge in Almelo
For the renovation of the Stadhuisplein in Almelo, we supplied FRP Bridge Decking Planks that were positioned longitudinally on the bridge structure of the newly built cycle and pedestrian bridge. In addition to the unusual positioning of the FRP Bridge Decking Planks, partly due to the playful handrail, the new bridge looks rather attractive. The pedestrian bridge, which is also used as a cycle bridge, consists of 48 m2 of FRP Bridge Decking Planks, type 500.40.
This type of Bridge Decking Plank is a favourite among contractors, government organisations and municipalities for new construction and renovations. This is because the span requires fewer bridge decking planks due to its 500-mm width, resulting in faster installation. In addition, the low production costs, long service life and resistance to corrosion, chemicals and UV radiation, among other things, are convincing features of our FRP Bridge Decking Planks.
