FRP Bridge Deck Renovation Pedestrian Bridge in Stadt Meschede
The FRP Bridge Deck renovation of the pedestrian bridge in Stadt Meschede was just one project in a series. Indeed, the Municipality of Meschede has already renovated several bridges with our FRP Bridge Decking Planks. This wooden bridge over the river Ruhr had also seen better days and was in need of renovation due to intensive use and weather effects. In addition to krafton® manufacturing the FRP Bridge Decking Planks, we also offer advice if the assembly is done by an external party. For example, The Municipality's Bauhof requested advice on cutting an 80-degree kink in the pedestrian bridge. However, at the time of arrival, it appeared that the Bauhof had already done the work under their own management. This is more proof of the ease of installation of our FRP Bridge Decking Planks on modern pedestrian bridges.

From renovation project to permanent FRP Bridge Decking supplier
Demand from other European countries is also growing fast, partly due to DIBt approval on a wide variety of glass fibre-reinforced plastic bridge decking planks. Many government organisations, municipalities and contractors are following the Municipality of Meschede’s example: they like to come back for new construction and renovation projects. The decisive factors for our clients tend to be sustainability, low production and installation costs and resistance to corrosion, chemicals and UV radiation in particular. In addition, the TÜV-tested non-slip and wear-resistant surfaces and compliance with evaluation groups R12 and R13 for slip resistance ensure safe commissioning of the pedestrian bridge as soon as it is installed.
