Renovation Cycle Bridge and Pedestrian Bridge in Hesse Germany
During a bridge inspection in 2012 in Crailsheim, Germany, the bridge's wooden cladding was found to be very badly damaged. In addition to holes and cracks in the surface that created an increased risk of accidents, in some sections of the main girders even the glue joints had opened. These openings were caused by years of lateral rainfall, which bridges are exposed to year in and year out. We are particularly proud of this FRP Bridge Deck reference owing to the variety of work we completed for this project abroad.
In addition to the durability and long service life, the German client chose our FRP Bridge deck planks for the renovation of the footbridge and cycle bridge over the Lahn River because of the fast assembly methods. krafton® offers its clients 12 innovative assembly methods for attaching the FRP Bridge deck planks to existing substructures. For example, there are separate mounting methods for steel structures as well as for timber girders and structures.
