Renovation of pedestrian and cycle bridges in the Municipality of Zaanstad with FRP Bridge Decking Plank 256.40
The Municipality of Zaanstad has renovated an impressive 13 pedestrian and cycle bridges in a residential area over a four-year period. The old bridges were in need of replacement due to their age and weather effects. We supplied our FRP 256.40 Bridge Decking Planks in different colours depending on use, for all 13 renovation projects. Most pedestrian bridges were executed in sand colour. Combined with our 256.40 FRP Bridge Decking Plank, the sand colour results in a beautiful wood look effect. In contrast, FRP Bridge Decks that facilitate a transition for both cyclists and pedestrians are executed in two different colours. In this way, the cycling and pedestrian lanes can continue across the bridges and safe road use can be maintained. The Municipality of Zaanstad has renovated an impressive 13 pedestrian and cycle bridges in a residential area over a four-year period. FRP Bridge Deck renovation with wood look
The Municipality of Zaanstad chose our 256.40 FRP Bridge Decking Plank over the other options for the renovation of the pedestrian bridges, due its appearance. In fact, when assembling this type of FRP Bridge Decking Plank, beautiful joints between the planks will naturally form, giving the bridge deck a lovely wood look effect. A sand-coloured non-slip and wear-resistant surface further enhance this effect. Not only do the bridges now seamlessly fit into the streetscape of residential neighbourhoods, long-term and safe use is also guaranteed.
