Promenade Renovation Zaanstad with FRP bridge decking planks 256.40
The Zaanwerf Wandelpromenade is located on the east side of the river Zaan. After renovation of the promenade with FRP 256.40 Bridge Decking Planks, the promenade now measures a whopping 1,740 m2. We took great pride in delivering FRP Bridge Decking Planks to the Maintenance Department of the Municipality of Zaanstad. They completed the renovation of this beautiful promenade entirely under their own management. In addition to safe use, it is a beautiful feather in the cap of the urban area.
Like many other government organizations, the Municipality of Zaanstad is in the process of making its assets more sustainable. As such, opting for FRP Bridge deck planks for the renovation of the promenade was a logical decision. FRP Bridge Decking Planks are very sustainable, after all. In addition, transportation and assembly require 50% less energy, and no harmful preservatives or thermal processes are necessary to increase the service life of FRP Bridge Decking Planks. Thanks to the fully shielded evaporation process, hardly any harmful substances are released during production. And should another renovation be required (only after 100 years, mind) the FRP Bridge Decking Planks can be recycled and incorporated into other structures.
